Here’s a friendly reminder of two separate events starting tomorrow in the city that you may be interested in going. One of these events is related to going which hopes to attract non-gamers as well, whereas the other one is for camera enthusiasts.
Gamescon Dhaka 2016
Organized by Virtuosity Gaming Network, Gamescon Dhaka 2016 is expected to be the largest gaming event to date in the city. Taking place in one of the most spacious locations, Jamuna Future Park, the three-day event kicks off tomorrow at 10 am.
Although it’s clearly a gaming event, the organizers hope that non-gamers will also show up at the event. One of the core ideas of the event is to promote the fact that gaming is not a waste of time. People don’t have to be bad at studying and be outcast from the society to do good at games.
One of the main attractions of the event is going to be the tournament of various popular games including Counter Strike: Global Offensive, FIFA 16, and DOTA 2. With a total prize money of over BDT 4 lacs, VGN hopes that this will be the largest e-sport in the country.
You can stay updated about various announcements and follow the event on its Facebook event page here.
1st Camera Fest
So you’re into photography and camera gears? The three-day event starting tomorrow at Drik Gallery should be of interest to you.
The event page on Facebook invites all camera lovers to come under one roof. Various camera brands are supposed to participate although their presence was not confirmed. A representative of Fujifilm already announced that there will be event-specific discount offers at the first Camera Fest for various Fujifilm cameras including the mighty XT-1 and other Fujifilm accessories.
Fujifilm makes some of the greatest mirrorless cameras today. So if you’re into mirrorless cameras, or if you want to see what the fuss is all about, attending the Camera Fest might be a good idea (though it’s not confirmed whether there’ll be cameras on display).
It’s still unclear what exactly will happen at the Camera Fest, but if you’re into camera gears and photography in general, you may want to show up at Dhanmondi’s Drik Gallery between tomorrow and 16th January. The event will be open to the visitors during 12 pm to 8 pm.
