Internet Professionals in Bangladesh to Join BIPC Conference 2014

BIPC Conference 2014It’s common for internet professionals to stay behind the curtain — or at home — all the time because all they need to get their professional life going is a computer with internet access. However, being professionals means far more than just working from home. Networking is an important part and every person who wishes to succeed in their career should take networking more seriously. That message has been delivered to the internet professionals across the country and next week, they are joining a conference meant specially for them.

BIPC — or Bangladesh Internet Professionals’ Community — is holding the one-day event to give all the internet-based professionals in Bangladesh a place to meet each other face to face. Thanks to the social media, majority of the community has already been built by various Facebook groups and internet forums. But rarely do these professionals — especially those who work solely on the internet — get a chance to meetup face-to-face with fellow professionals because most of the time they work from home or they are just too busy with their own office works.

The BIPC Conference 2014 is aimed at bridging the gap between the internet professionals in Bangladesh of all sizes. What that means is the event is open for registration to everyone who’s interested. The event will give young professionals a supreme opportunity to learn from the experts in this sector. Various sessions have been scheduled where experienced professionals will speak to the audience sharing their experience in their journey. The organizers are hoping the event to be a fun-filled networking conference that will have a deep impact on both personal and professional development of the attendees.

Although the word ‘conference’ renders a scene of boring auditorium to our minds, don’t be confused with IT people. Despite the fact that internet professionals spend most of their time in front of their computers, it has been proven repeatedly (I speak from experience!) that these IT professionals are absolutely fun guys to hang around. So if you work on the internet from home and you think joining a conference full of these people would be boring, think again. You’re already bored at your home. Join the conference, get to know more people or meet the people you already know. It’s definitely going to be a huge event for the internet professionals in Bangladesh.

To make the event more exciting and fun, it’s also filled with many gift items. So who knows you may not have to go back home empty-handed!

The BIPCC Conference 2014 will take place on Friday, November 14 2014 at Mahanagar Natya Mancha (Kazi Bashir Milanayotan), Gulistan of the capital. Registration is open now and tickets are priced at BDT 300 per person. The big event is sponsored by big brands including Akhoni.com, Payoneer (payment service), Elance-oDesk, JoomShaper, AjkerDeal and Creative IT Limited. BASIS, Themexpert, and NijolCreative are partners of the conference.

Check out the event agenda and list of speakers here. If you plan on joining, see here to get a hold of a local group in your area that is attending the event so that you can tag along. And don’t forget to check out the exciting gifts that are waiting for you! The organizers announced that already hundreds of tickets have been sold to people living in different parts of the country. Don’t miss the opportunity and don’t be left out.

Are you an internet professional? When was the last time you attended a real-world meet-up with community members?
