I think it will be difficult to find someone who hasn’t watched the film Jumanji and wanted to play a similar game that takes the player to an unknown adventure. At least Jumanji is one of the things that I used to spend time with a lot when I was a kid.
That didn’t stop when I grew up. There came Night at the Museum. Ben Stiller’s amazing movie where Robin Williams plays an important part. This morning I was sad to hear that the award-winning actor had passed away.
According to The New York Times, the ground-breaking stand-up comedian and actor died on Monday in California at the age of 63. The Wall Street Journal adds that the apparent cause of death was suicide by asphyxiation. An investigation into his death has been initiated. It’s hard to understand why he would do such a thing. The Journal quotes a representative of the actor as saying “he has been battling severe depression of late.”
I will admit that I haven’t watched a lot of movies by Robin Williams, but the ones I saw found their place in my heart. Probably that’s why despite not being a die-hard fan of him, I feel sad.
What was the best movie you watched starred by Robin Williams?
